Lourdes is a full boarding college for girls: an ordered residential community for study, spiritual growth, friendship and responsible living.
The Houses
Six houses, one sisterhood
The boarding school began with four houses: Immaculata, Fatima, Rosary and Bernadette. With the high school section in 2005, a large building was raised for two more, Saint Paul and Shanahan. Each house is a dormitory and a family, with its own house mother and house captain.
Immaculata House
One of the four houses of the original boarding school. Its name honours Mary Immaculate, in keeping with the Marian identity of the College, and calls its members to purity of heart and generous service.

Student Life
Clubs, sports and a voice of their own
Lourdes is known across Cameroon for its academic results, regularly among the strongest GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level results in the region. Life at the College is much more than the classroom: physical education, house and inter-class competitions, recreational sport, music and service are part of every boarding week.
The College choir leads the singing at Mass and celebrations, and the College publication, Lourdes Beats, gives students a platform to write and report on school life.

Leading with courage, competence and compassion
Lourdes develops leadership through responsibility, service, teamwork, mentoring and participation in the life of the school. Students are encouraged to discover their abilities, support one another and become women able to lead.
A 2025 transition workshop at the College addressed leadership styles, empowerment, personal discovery, relationship-building and transformational leadership.
